Hello everyone! It's MANICure Monday again and I've got a very spring-y look for you today.
It's been so rainy and dreary that I wanted to do something light and fun for my nails this week. I typically opt for darker shades, but I switched it up and went with a pale lavender. Have you ever used the Revlon Parfumerie polishes? I thought the idea of scented nail polish was a little excessive, but I finally bought a bottle and used it this week.
It was a little difficult to decide on a shade since they're based off scents. This scent seemed to be the most friendly (I definitely stayed away from leather) and I also liked the color. It's the shade Lavender Soap and it definitely smells like lavender.
The scent it VERY strong on your nails. I applied it late yesterday afternoon and I can still smell it this afternoon. I can only smell it if I put my hands up to my face, but I definitely prefer a scentless polish. It just strikes me as odd that my fingernails have a scent.
I applied the Revlon Matte Top Coat to soften the look a bit more and add to the pastel color. On the nails it reads as a bit more of a pinkish pearlescent color versus a true lavender, but it's still really pretty.
What are your thoughts on scented polishes? Let me know in the comments!
xoxo,
Caitlin.
